Joseph Soufeh joins Empire Capital Holdings as head of the Capital Markets group. He also leads the VCPRE Korean Debt platform where his team secures B-Note; Mezzanine and equity financing from Korean capital sources. The group has successfully raised over $1 billion to date. Transactions have been known to be complex and “out of the box” for traditional Korean sources.
Prior to joining the firm, Soufeh led an investment sales deal team at VCPRE and founded Soufeh Capital Partners which focuses on complex debt and equity assignments, hard money lending, distressed restructuring, and acquisitions.
From June 2007 to July 2009 Soufeh served as the Head of Finance of BCN Development, where he raised equity, placed debt, served as asset manager to Class “A” office buildings, and oversaw new development projects and acquisitions. Prior to that, Joseph served as a Vice President in Bear Stearns Real Estate Commercial Mortgage Group. From 1998 to 2005, Soufeh was responsible for the structuring, origination and underwriting of commercial mortgage and mezzanine loans for both securitization and balance sheet.
Soufeh is a graduate of Stern School of business in New York University. Soufeh enjoys learning, spending time with his family and giving back to his community.
